Sylvain says “wedding” and I say together with the groom on his wedding day above: “I completely lost my focus”.
Here is first one image apiece from two weddings viewed from afar.
And now several from my only Italian wedding so far (as a guest!), held in Roma and in Ostia on the sandy beach. Mind the captions. I already posted photos from this wedding for the second week of Sylvain’s SL-WEEK challenge on the topic of Red.
But if you want to see really great stuff, check out Slovenian wedding photographer Samo Rovan who just won the title Photographer of the Year, awarded by the Wedding Photojournalist Association.

Looks like a lot of fun! How was the food? 😉

The food was solid but not spectacular, Bulldog. But the setting made up for it.

It’s the cross-generational dancing you get at weddings that I always enjoy!

The photo of the bride and groom in front of the steps is amazing..I also love the view of the terrace from above..The cobblestones have the effect of making it look like there is even another level below! Didn’t you have fun photographing weddings? Were you a bystander or a guest?

Thanks for the link to Samo Rovan. My favorite was the one of the bride and attendants in one sun spot and the groom and groomsmen in the other.

He is amazing. If I was ever to do it professionally, that’s how I’d wish to do it: with humour, elegance, intelligence and warmth.

Aha.. I see now that you were a guest at the Italian wedding. Looks like a regal celebration. I love the bride’s dress and your shot from the back.

Yes, I was a guest at this one, only the first two photos were taken in passing. The second photo is from the series posted here:

Merci, Sylvain. 🙂 I guess ‘intense’ is good, and happiness is even better.

Lovely pictures … it looks like it was a stunning venue for a party. I particularly liked the last photo. Looks like a very happy couple 😉

Thanks, Joanne. It was truly an astonishing setting, and the last couple is very happy, indeed. (Maybe because it’s not married!) 😉
