Three doors from Monteverde, the Green Hill of Roma. A bit of competition, since Ljubljana in Slovenia, my hometown, was recently named European Green Capital 2016.
I pass these often as I walk bestia, and they always draw my eyes. There is always a car in front of the first one so I can’t get a better angle. There is often this nice light on the second one. And the third one… this photo might be my favourite door photo of them all.

They all look atmospheric! Love the light

Yes, SSW, Roma has such a pretty light. Not that I’ve travelled much, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else.

Very nice photography. I love the wooden door at the bottom, with it’s weathered look. The green door is prettier than I thought green would be..interesting.

Oh, Dan, why wouldn’t green door be pretty? 🙂 Anyway, glad you like it.

Torn between the first and second ones for my favorite. Love the deep green colour, but I love that iron work too.
That third one needs a kickplate at the bottom; that beautiful wood all faded from people tapping their shoes against it 😦
Nice post!

Norm, I like so much how we view doors differently. Yes, the last one is well kicked-in, but this means that people were rushing in happily to enter. 😉 Thank you!

Yay for my doors!!! Please note, “my” doors. I love the colour and the shadows around the featured photo. Great captures all around.

Oh, I love the iron work of the first door, my favorite color is green and that panel door is lovely, but the last door…that gorgeous panel door with the distressed wood, and inviting entryway stole the show and is my favorite of this set.

I’m glad we share this preference, Deborah. 🙂 (I went to your blog to check out your name so that I don’t need to call you CR. 😀 Now I see that your surname almost means ‘rabbit’ in my language – ‘zajec’.)

It’s my husband’s last name really. I’m just borrowing it for a lifetime. 🙂 He says it means little white rabbit. I call our house Rabbit Hollow. 🙂

🙂 He must be of Slav heritage as well then. He is very nice to let you borrow. Wishing you a happy hollow!
