And so I thought to myself: I’ve got two blogs now, I get to have two entries. 😉
Another reason for this second entry is that today celebrates my friend who took these photos in Sovana (first two photos) and Pitigliano during his last visit.
I invite you to view two posts on my new blog:
What is certain is that there will be no more new Thursday Doors on this blog, but the treasure-chest of past entries is here to stay and it can be viewed here.

Sovana is amazing this way, Nivs. Almost every door has beautiful flowers around it.

Great photos. I really really like the first door. That’s just beautiful. also like the worn wooden arched door in the stone entrance. Nicely done!

Dan, then you must come to Sovana one day. They also have one of the oldest cathedrals around. The town is little and it feels like walking through a book.

That sounds so nice. The problem with the states is nothing dates back beyond 1600s

Right… everything is relative. This makes one think if that’s why ageing tends to be frowned upon over there. 🙂

Yay to more doors! Start six more blogs if you like 😉
These are all wonderful. My first reaction after scrolling through collection? I’d love to see the inside of that theater.

Hehe, Norm, thanks and don’t tempt me. 😀 I haven’t had a peak inside, maybe one day, tend to keep returning to Pitigliano, there’s something there.

You mean they just grow like that? You can neglect them, not have a green thumb, and have lush looking vines and flowers in Sovana? I’m in! 🙂

🙂 It certainly appears this way. The climate is very helpful. But I’m certain the inhabitants take very good care of them as well. As for my backyard, in May starts such a heat then without a watering system we only need to be away for a couple of days and everything dies. The first year I started with some herbs and soon gave up, only the rosemary persists. 😀

The first photo is a winner if for no other reason than the gorgeous vine with the blue flowers surrounding a gorgeous door.
… but then I reached the 2nd last photo!! Oh my!! LOVE this photo 🙂
