Dan, then you must come to Sovana one day. They also have one of the oldest cathedrals around. The town is little and it feels like walking through a book.

You mean they just grow like that? You can neglect them, not have a green thumb, and have lush looking vines and flowers in Sovana? I’m in! 🙂

🙂 It certainly appears this way. The climate is very helpful. But I’m certain the inhabitants take very good care of them as well. As for my backyard, in May starts such a heat then without a watering system we only need to be away for a couple of days and everything dies. The first year I started with some herbs and soon gave up, only the rosemary persists. 😀

The first photo is a winner if for no other reason than the gorgeous vine with the blue flowers surrounding a gorgeous door.
