One CAN get overdoored. It happened to me in the last four days.
Doors were attacking me left and right. When sorting the photos I got so overwhelmed that I almost missed the deadline for this week’s Norm’s Thursday Doors. Here is just a teaser: one door from every place that we visited.
We started out with a day in Rome: here the Embassy of Slovenia in Vatican.
The next day it was Pitigliano first.
Then it was a hike to (the wrong) one of the Via Cave where a door was the last thing I expected.
And we ended in Sovana not on foot as intended.
Day three, the monastery at Monte Argentario
Porto Santo Stefano
Porto Ercole
Orbetello
The WWF Oasis Lake Burano headquarters
Capalbio
The last day started with Civitella Maritima.
It continued with Siena with its magnificent cathedral. Wonderful visitors minded bestia for me throughout. Thank you!
And to finish off the door odyssey: Abbey of St. Antimo.

Very cool doors. Did you notice pic #5 at the monastary has a door header that looks like an evil clown watching over the door?

😀 In a way I can see him indeed.

Looks like you had an amazing week – what a collection. The first one is impressive because of its sheer size and the monastery one, are my two faves.

Oh, yes, Norm, can’t even express it exactly. And then when we went hiking, I thought finally no more doors, and then I saw caves with doors on them 😀 I think I’ve got doors covered till Doom Thursday.

Such beautiful doors, I can see how you were overdoored. I like the teaser the best, but that door at the end is a close 2nd, as is the somewhat broken door in the middle. Great photos!

Thank you, Dan. Feels like I’m hoarding them! I wish to share them with anybody who might feel underdoored. But the best thing would be to come over. 🙂

Love the variety! Pitigliano and Porto Ercole are beautiful in their lines and simplicity.

Thank you, Lisa. I like the simplicity as well but now I’m drowning in simple door images. Good that Thursdays come around often. 😀

So many lovely doors, so hard to choose favorites. I have to say the monastery door is impressive and then I also like the Orbetello and Capalbio doors. Glad you survived the attack of the doors!

Joey, I’ve seen and captured so many winner doors in these four days that I’m truly scared for the future of doorhood. It can’t get any better than that! And yet I know I’ll be just as amazed the next time I visit a new place. That’s Tuscany for you!

😀 I’ll survive… but I’m still not looking at doors around me. Not yet.
