Walking the dog in Roma’s Monteverde district. If it’s not the door, then it’s the dog that makes me pay attention. Sometimes it’s both.
I always pay attention if I see this sign. Not that I need a sign, usually bestia shows me with his body language that another bestia is close.
But not this time.

The door is lovely! I thought the dog was real! 🙂 Diva Dog gets very impatient when walking me when I stop for a photo op or door. She’s happiest when we’re walking or running.

Thanks, Deborah. Oh yes, he would prefer to continue too but when I wish to take photos I tell him “čaki” which in my language – well, dialect – means ‘wait’. He doesn’t speak many but understands a LOT of languages. 😀

I use the same command, she waits, but whines, and cries the whole time I’m trying to make a picture. 🙂

Ah, that is no fun, it puts pressure on you. What if you train her that when you take the camera, something wonderful will happen… something like magic. 🙂

🙂 I should take treats like I did when she was puppy. If she’s quite while I’m taking photos she gets a treat. It might work, but she’s an old dog now, and you know what they say about that.

Regarding the thought that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks; they forgot to include the other caveat, except when food or treats are involved. 🙂
