Sherry Lynn, thank you for your opinions. Post editing is something I’m still cautious of. I don’t like to change the world around me. I’m not god. Also, I prefer to leave everything, including me, a bit imperfect. You know, so that you can improve.
Another festival of wonderful doors…sigh. The wooden ones with the 3/4 – 1/4 split are my faves, because it’s not a style we see much around here.
Great post 🙂
Oh my – door heaven, indeed!! hmmm – where to start? I think my favourite has to the skinny little door just before the green door with the vines. It is a marvellous little doorway wrapped in decay around it – something for which Rome is so famous!
I just wish I could get my head in a space to enter one of these challenges–I have door photos up the gazoo! You have some FINE doors here. Well, you are in Rome!
Ohh, I didn’t know there is a headspace required. Like for losing virginity? Maybe there’s an app for it. 😀 It’s just that you’re stingy and don’t let us bask! We Want Your Doors!
Such beautiful colours. It’s obvious from the shots that you really enjoyed taking these! And they tell a tiny tale of the city. Lovely collection Manja. And the geek in me was smiling from the start because the first house number is 42! 🙂
Thank you, Kerry, for lovely words and the follow. This is probably my favourite part of Rome. It was a rare occasion that I was completely alone, meaning no dog and all, no matter how much I love him. So yes, I had a great time. And I’m a big fan of 42 as well. 🙂
A great collection of doors Manja – I really like the building with the climbing plant on it that says ‘Express – Chopper Bar’ on it – but I wonder what a chopper bar is ?!! 😀
The sweet spots of Rome ❤ bella!

Lots of nice doors. A few could use some cropping or post editing. Lightroom is good for that.

What a wonderful collection of eclectic doors. I love the green one that is decorated with the vine paintings. It looks so welcoming. Nice job!

A beautiful selection of doors today! I love the old terracotta buildings and doors framed with vines and flower boxes and/or cones.

Very true, Joanne 🙂 Old age brings decay but also experience and signs of a life well lived. Thank you!

I’m trying to take that philosophical approach of a ‘live well lived’ as I face my own decay each day in the mirror 😉

Haha! I know what you mean. I was out taking photos locally, on my own, yesterday and the only thing anyone said to me was, “Where’s your dog?” 😀
